The Ohio Gambia Health and Education Foundation (OGHEF) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization based in the United States, created to serve women and children in The Gambia. Founded by Gibril Saidy, OGHEF is dedicated to addressing the critical healthcare and education gaps in Gambia

The well-being of women and children is fundamental to the health and prosperity of the entire nation.



Our Founder

Gibril Saidy

With deep community roots and a background in humanitarian service, Gibril Saidy has led programs promoting empowerment for women and children both in The Gambia and abroad. His leadership experience spans organizations like the Peace Corps and the American Embassy in Banjul, with a career-long focus on service, mentorship, and community development.

Today, Gibril brings his passion, experience, and network together to lead OGHEF toward sustainable, impactful change.
